The first regulated testing framework specifically designed for fire limitation blankets used on electric vehicles. Fire Cloak is the first product globally to achieve full certification to this rigorous German standard, demonstrating superior thermal resistance, mechanical strength, deployment performance, and chemical resistance.
Fire Cloak blankets withstand direct flame exposure at temperatures cycling between 700-1,000°C simulating battery thermal runaway, with no holes or seam failures. Constructed from PFAS-free Silica Quartz Fabric (475gsm) with fire retardant coating and melting point exceeding 800°C (1472°F). Tested for resistance to oils, greases, fuels, extinguishing agents, and battery acids. Enhanced cut resistance (Level D for 8×6m model), radio frequency permeability for emergency communications, and IP65-rated storage containers ensure maximum safety and durability in emergency response scenarios.
A2 (very limited combustibility), s1 (lowest smoke emission), d0 (no flaming droplets). This rating represents the pinnacle of fire safety performance for the 8×6m model, suitable for passenger vehicles and light commercial EVs.
B (limited combustibility), s2 (limited smoke emission), d0 (no flaming droplets). The larger 12×9m model achieves excellent fire performance ratings while providing coverage for large commercial EVs and trucks.
The 8×6m model achieves Level D cut resistance, ensuring the blanket maintains integrity even when handling sharp vehicle debris or damaged battery components during emergency deployment.
