On January 1, 2024, the federal Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act came into force. The Act supports the fight against forced labour and child labour (“FLCL” or “modern slavery”) by imposing reporting obligations on organizations that either produce, sell, or distribute goods in Canada or elsewhere, or import into Canada goods produced outside of Canada.
